Join a Zoom Meeting

Method 1: from a link:

The easiest way to join a Zoom video conference is by clicking a link found in your email invitation it might look like this:

·         https://zoom.us/j/721385794

or this...

·         https://us02web.zoom.us/j/498620672?pwd=MGNVdTRnNGQxMlpyaUd3RjJZL3NLQT09

or...

find a Click to join link on our fma-online page:

If you don’t have a link, you will need the Zoom meeting ID.  In that case, use one of the methods below to join the meeting.

Method 2: From the Zoom join page:

In your web browser go to https://zoom.us/join

On this page enter the zoom meeting ID and click the ‘Join’ button.  If the meeting is protected with a passcode, you’ll be asked to enter the passcode  (or "password") as well. Our usual passcode is "quakers".

Method 3: From the Zoom Application

If you joined from a link, previously, you will have the Zoom application on your device. Start it up from the icon or menu item.  On a PC it is titled “Start Zoom” on mobile devices look for the icon on the home screen (iOS) or Apps page (Android) it is labeled “Zoom” or “Zoom Cloud Meetings”.   For further details or other platforms see:
https://support.zoom.us/hc/en-us/articles/360032812931-Starting-the-Zoom-Desktop-Client

If the Zoom application is not installed, see our article "Getting Ready for Zoom" for download and installation instructions.

Once you have started the Zoom application, click the “Join a Meeting" button, then enter the Zoom meeting ID and the name you would like to use to identify yourself during the meeting. If asked for a passcode (or password) enter the passcode we provided.  Our usual passcode is "quakers".
