Getting ready for Zoom

In most cases no initial preparation is necessary.  On a PC, the zoom application is automatically downloaded when you click the meeting link.  On other devices you will be taken to your “Application Store” (Apple Store, Google Play Store, etc.) to install Zoom.

If you have not previously installed Zoom, this may take a little time.  So, you may want to join the meeting a few minutes early.  Or you may want to pre-install Zoom. Doing so will give you a chance to test your equipment and do any necessary trouble shooting a head of time.

Installing Zoom

If the Zoom application is not installed, you can download and install it.

·         For other devices, visit your “App store” (Google Play, Apple Store, Kindle App Store …).

Testing your equipment for Zoom

The easiest way to test is to join a zoom test meeting.  Use this link:

Just as when you access any zoom meeting link you will either automatically download the Zoom application or be taken to your “Application Store” (Apple Store, Google Play Store, etc.) where you may download and install the application.
