How to request a zoom meeting

We are happy to set up a video conference on request to the calendar coordinator.  Here are the instructions.

First, determine a time when you want to schedule the meeting

Since the meeting has a single account with Zoom we cannot schedule concurrent or overlapping meetings. You may use the meeting calendar to determine what time slots have already been taken. See this help page:  Find a free time for your meeting.

If your meeting will last 40 minutes or less, consider using a personal (free) zoom account.  This will allow you to schedule the meeting yourself for any time you like.  See this help page for more information.

Request a meeting from the Calendar Coordinator

You can submit a request to set up the Zoom meeting and add it to the calendar using the Calendar Contact Form.

Include the following information, you might want to copy and paste this list into the contact form:

  • Name of event:  e.g. “Adult Religious Education Committee Meeting”
  • Date:
  • Time:
  • Duration:
  • Recurrence:  If applicable - monthy (what day), weekly (what day of week)… etc.
  • Description (optional):
  • Committee (optional):
  • Is it a public event?
  • Is a password needed? (for confidential meetings)

The duration is needed for scheduling, but if you don’t run into the time for the next meeting on the schedule, you can join early or stay on for as long as you wish.

We'll update the calendar and send you a link and a Meeting ID.
